About the books<\/h1>\n<\/div>

TEGN<\/em> is a trilogy that began life on author Even Mehl Amundsen’s Facebook page in 2016,<\/p>\n

before the paper version was published thanks to a Kickstarter in 2017.<\/p>\n

At the end of 2023, in partnership with Spiridon Giannakis, we launched a crowdfunding campaign for the new TEGN – Redux artbook.<\/p>\n

TEGN – Redux<\/em> compiles the first three volumes of TEGN<\/em> into a single volume. Whether or not you’re familiar with this universe, you’ll find new characters, a completely new layout and a reworked narrative to help you immerse yourself in the world of Even, his dwarves, his elves and… his dragons!<\/p>\n

If you loved The Lord of the Rings<\/em> or Game of Thrones<\/em>, you’ll love TEGN<\/em>.<\/p>\n

It’s a vibrant story, with engaging characters, ancient magic and battles as epic as those in our own history.<\/p>\n<\/div><\/div><\/div><\/div><\/div>

As a young viking Even Mehl Amundsen ventured forth from his native Norway in search of spoils, art and battle. He plundered in Cornwall, then in Quebec, in Prague, and then in California, but where roaming is grand in its way, no harbour is sweeter than that one which is close to home.<\/p>\n

Even is a freelance concept artist from Norway who has worked for studios like Volta, Blizzard, Riot, Wizards of the Coast and many more. Besides that he has been working on his own world shown in TEGN. He travels a lot, teaching what he has learned in workshops and giving advice to newcomers.<\/p>\n<\/div><\/div><\/div>

The genesis of TEGN<\/i><\/h1>\n<\/div>

Like many other artbooks this one also launched as a crowdfunding campaign on Kickstarter<\/strong> with overwhelming success. It ended with over 77.000\u20ac funding<\/strong> and over 1.200 backers whose support made the production possible.<\/span><\/p>\n

The book is a A4 hardcover, black halflinen-binding and coated with surbalin paper that is leather textured. It has 160 pages and weighs about 900g. The inside is printed in full color.<\/span><\/p>\n

During the campaign it has been promoted throughout the world and has gotten a lot of positive feedback.<\/p>\n

366 days, 366 sketches telling 366 stories, some smaller, some greater. Shared with the community, first online, and now as a series of beautiful books: TEGN<\/em> \u2013 Book One \u2013 by Even Mehl Amundsen is the first of three books that together tell the whole story that started as a doodle on the first day of the year: \u201cdraw something today, and the next day and the next\u201d.<\/p>\n

And soon the doodles took on a life of their own, summoning up grand adventures and ideas for a world emerging slowly from the mists of imagination.<\/p>\n

Book Two and Book Three both became available in 2018. The complete TEGN – Redux<\/em> will be released in the summer of 2024.<\/p>\n<\/div><\/div><\/div><\/div><\/div>
