Vincent Mallié is a French comic book author known primarily for his series’: Hong Kong Triad, L’Arche, Les Aquanautes, Avant la Quête and Le Grand Mort (whose 8th and final volume came out in 2019).
Editions Caurette, as much as Vincent Mallié himself, wanted to publish this book as an identical reproduction of the author’s notebook, in both format and scale.
From great words to little pictures
Between panels is a compilations of sketches and illustrations by Vincent Mallié realised between his comic-book projects! These elegant down-time drawings are when the artist let himself explore his favorite worlds (films by Hayao Miyazaki, Japanese cartoons, Harry Potter, Calvin and Hobbes, etc.) sketching portraits in a few lines or splashes of color and take us on a journey with little seen characters whose paper fate we would nevertheless like to know.
