ACHDÉ
Of Moroccan origin, Achdé began his comic strip career at a very early age, creating and publishing a small comic strip newspaper for his school friends. Prior to his career as a cartoonist, he studied medicine. But in 1985, wanting to fulfil his dream, he gave up this career to devote himself to drawing.
He worked for various newspapers and magazines, including Nimescope, À suivre, Jet, Calades, Midi Libre, Hot Bike and Ressources, and self-published his first comic, Destins croisés, in 1988.
In 2001, after the death of Morris, the famous illustrator of Lucky Luke, Achdé became the official illustrator of the series himself, while retaining his mentor’s graphic identity. A childhood dream finally come true!
