Pierre Christin

The great innovator of sequential art storytelling

About Pierre Christin

Pierre Christin is undoubtedly the man who, in the 1960s, revolutionised graphic storytelling. The journalist and man of letters has given life to masterpieces, and worked with the masters, of the 9th art for more than fifty years. An avant-gardist and visionary, his writing has never stood still. Of course there was Valérian, but many other books too including political fictions, sagas, correspondences and some of the first graphic novels.

Pierre Christin is a giant who has given us food for thought, and laughter, for generations.

Throughout these pages Pierre Christin takes a trip down memory lane, opening up his archives – and his heart!
