    Magnum Generation(s) At the outbreak of the Spanish Civil War, when the shadow of fascism was spreading across the world, Robert Capa, Gerda Taro, Henri Cartier-Bresson, George Rodger and David Seymour took to the field to document the events that would shape world history. Sharing what they witnessed with those who could not be there, they would establish the true raison d’être of the photo reporter. In support of their undertaking, and aspiring to greater things, they would set up the famous Magnum Photos cooperative. They were courageous and devoted to each other in the heart of conflicts, where they would go to find and reveal the truth. The French edition of Magnum Generation(s) was published in 2022 and achieved significant success, selling around 20,000 copies. In 2023, it received the France Info Prize for Best Graphic Novel in Journalism and Reporting, and was widely acclaimed by the press, national television, and readers alike. For the first time, English readers will be able to plundge into the story of the most famous photo agency in the world. Éditions Caurette was founded in 2016 by Jean-Christophe Caurette, who, lacking inspiration, couldn’t think of a better name!
We publish art books by contemporary illustrators and painters, graphic novels and illustrated books for adults and children.
The projects we develop are diverse: originals, reprints, translations of foreign publications…
In September 2024, the Caurette team consists of 14 employees (sipping cocktails all day long) and interns who do all the work.
