The Night Before Christmas

The Night Before Christmas
It’s Christmas Eve and all the animals are fast asleep, except for a gigantic polar bear, who’s moving from chimney to chimney carrying a sack full of presents. So it’s a bear, and a daddy rabbit who’s heard a noise and is not at the end of his surprises!
In this wonderfully illustrated reinterpretation of a famous English Christmas tale from 1823, T’was the night before Christmas, Chris Dunn’s magnificent watercolors delight young and old alike, as they plunge gently into a world that carries with it all the magic of childhood.

“Chris Dunn’s beautiful, detailed illustrations are set against a delicate, poetic text. The reader is immersed in a magical atmosphere. Her watercolors gently capture the magic of winter. It’s a delight to watch.»

“I must say I’m a fan of Chris Dunn’s vintage illustrations, which add a timeless touch to the story. The story itself has been reinterpreted for continuity with the story of Léa Lapin. The magic of Christmas is in every rhyme and every illustration!”

But what a wonderful read on Christmas Eve! I can’t wait to snuggle up with my daughter and read her this story again.
A classic of the genre to have in your library, to read and reread snugly under the comforter.

“I don’t think you can get more into the Christmas spirit than with this album. The text immerses us in this Christmas night, where the magical atmosphere is totally palpable.”

“What a wonderful album to get us into the Christmas mood. Everything is perfect here. This story is sweet, simple, but so immersive, you’re captivated from beginning to end! […] I was impressed by the artist’s perspective shots, the sky views, the low-angle shots, the snowy landscapes, the light work… Chris Dunn is truly talented, gifted in all the technical aspects of his craft. While using soft color schemes, a little vintage but totally in keeping with the aesthetic of Christmas books, he manages to create dynamic, fabulous, magical tableaux (yes, his illustrations deserve the name).”
